Khinalig medieval mountainous village is part of the Tentative list of Azerbaijan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Khinalig is the highest inhabited mountain village in Azerbaijan. It is inhabited by a minority group, the Kettids, who practice nomadic animal husbandry by moving to the lowlands during winter. The town’s homogeneous architecture reflects their way of living.
