Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysala is part of the Tentative list of India in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysala comprise two groups of temples from the 11th – 14th centuries. The Hoysala rulers incorporated both Hinduism and Jainism in their spiritual life. The Chennakeshava temple in Belur remains an important pilgrimage center.
